What Our Rubbish Removal Service Covers
Garden waste accumulates faster than most people expect. A weekend pruning session produces bags of clippings. A fence replacement leaves a pile of old timber. A garden renovation generates rubble, soil and debris. And an inherited or neglected property can present an overwhelming amount of waste that needs clearing before any work can begin.
MWM Gardening Services provides fast, reliable garden waste clearance and rubbish removal across Irvine, Kilwinning, Troon, Saltcoats, Kilmarnock and the wider Ayrshire area. We load, haul and dispose of everything — you don't lift a finger.
We handle green waste (grass clippings, hedge trimmings, branches, leaves, old turf), garden hard waste (rubble, concrete, old slabs, bricks), timber waste (old fencing, shed materials, decking), and general garden items (old furniture, broken planters, obsolete structures). If it's in your garden and you want it removed, we take it.
This service is used by homeowners after garden projects, landlords clearing rental properties, families dealing with inherited properties, developers preparing sites, and our regular maintenance customers who generate ongoing green waste.
What Happens When Garden Waste Piles Up
A pile of garden waste in the corner seems harmless enough — until it becomes a permanent fixture. Stacked timber attracts woodlice, ants and rodents. Decomposing green waste generates heat, attracts flies and produces unpleasant odours. Rubble and debris block access and make the garden feel smaller than it is.
Overgrown and cluttered gardens also attract complaints from neighbours and, in some areas, attention from the local council. Persistent garden waste can constitute a statutory nuisance, leading to formal notices and potential fines.
The most common mistake is assuming a standard wheelie bin or occasional trip to the recycling centre will handle the volume. Garden projects — even modest ones — generate far more waste than domestic collection covers. And council tips increasingly restrict visit frequency and the types of waste accepted.
Leaving waste in the garden also blocks access for other work. You can't lay turf, install fencing or landscape a space that's full of debris. Clearance is almost always the essential first step of any garden improvement project.
How Our Rubbish Removal Works
Assessment & Quote
We visit your property, assess the volume and type of waste, and provide a clear, fixed-price quote. You know exactly what it costs before we start.
Scheduled Collection
We agree a collection date that suits you. Most clearances are completed within a few days of the initial enquiry — same-week availability is common.
Loading & Removal
We do all the loading. Garden waste, timber, rubble, old structures — everything is carried from wherever it sits in your garden to our vehicle. No heavy lifting required from you.
Responsible Disposal
All waste is taken to licensed disposal and recycling facilities. Green waste is composted. Timber, metals and other recyclable materials are separated. Nothing is fly-tipped.
Site Left Clean
We sweep up, check for any remaining debris and leave the cleared area clean and ready for whatever comes next — whether that's a new project or simply enjoying the space.
Why Professional Waste Clearance Beats DIY
No Heavy Lifting
We handle all the physical work — loading, carrying, hauling. Your back stays intact and your weekend stays free.
No Skip Hire Needed
Skip hire means permits, delivery windows, blocked driveways and size limitations. We load and go — faster, easier and often cheaper.
Same-Week Service
No waiting for skip delivery slots or council collection dates. We schedule quickly and clear efficiently, usually within the same week.
Responsible Disposal
Every load goes to a licensed facility. Green waste composted, recyclables separated. You can be confident your waste is handled legally and responsibly.
Complete Clearance
We don't leave awkward items behind. Rubble, soil, timber, structures — if you want it gone, it's gone. No partial jobs.
Ideal Pre-Project Prep
Planning landscaping, turfing or fencing? Clearing the site first makes every subsequent job faster, cheaper and easier. We're often the first call before the main work begins.
Garden Waste Removal: Types, Volumes & Disposal Methods
Green waste is our most common removal type. This includes grass clippings, hedge trimmings, pruned branches, fallen leaves, old turf, weeds and plant debris. All green waste is taken to licensed composting facilities where it's processed into soil conditioner and mulch products.
Timber waste from old fencing, decking, shed dismantling and garden structures is separated from other waste types. Clean, untreated timber is recycled. Treated or painted timber is disposed of at appropriate licensed facilities that can handle the chemical content safely.
Hard waste includes rubble, broken concrete, old paving slabs, bricks, stones, soil and hardcore. This material is heavy and requires appropriate vehicle capacity. We assess hard waste volumes during the estimate and price accordingly. Hard waste is taken to licensed inert waste facilities.
Bulky garden items cover old furniture, broken planters, obsolete water features, barbecues, play equipment and general garden clutter. We remove everything regardless of size or weight. Mixed loads of different waste types are sorted at the appropriate facilities.
For complete garden clearances — overgrown plots, inherited properties, pre-development sites — we clear everything. This may include vegetation removal (strimming, cutting, uprooting), structure demolition (sheds, greenhouses, raised beds), surface lifting (old paving, decking) and full debris removal. These jobs are quoted individually based on scope.
We carry different vehicle configurations depending on the job. Standard clearances use our trailer setup. Larger clearances may require multiple loads or dedicated transport. Access is assessed during the estimate — narrow side passages, steep steps and limited parking all factor into the plan.
For regular maintenance customers, we offer ongoing waste collection as part of their service plan. Green waste generated during scheduled visits is removed every time, so it never accumulates. This is included in the maintenance agreement or priced as a simple add-on.
